Everybody Out!

The Numbers

US census numbers show that in a country of roughly 330 million, Whites (Non-Hispanic) account for around 76% of the population. This means that all the other colors/races account for about a little under a quarter of the population. Roughly 40 million people are foreign born.

11% live at or below the poverty line – around 33 million. That means that 89% or 307 million have more than adequate resources. How adequate? Enough that around 1 million immigrants apply to enter and live in the United States. Far higher than any other country in the world. This doesn’t even count the ones who applied but did not get approved. Also missing are the illegals crossing the border for no other reason but for a better life overall.

The GDP of the United States prior to the pandemic was $19 Trillion – number 1 in the world. The per capita income is then roughly $57,600 per year. As of 2019, there were 614 Billionaires living in The United States.

Of any country in the world, the United States is where minorities of all walks fare the best! There are more minority millionaires and billionaires in The United States as a percentage of the population.

88% of people 25 years and older have a High School Diploma or higher, 32% have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Life expectancy is 79 yrs of age, slightly higher for females than males. Currently, Hong Kong at 85 years of age is ranked 1. Keep in mind that the United States is a more heterogeneous population than Hong Kong. Hong Kong is 93% ethnic Chinese.

That’s a snapshot of the overall picture of life in The United States. IT’S SO BAD……

EVERYBODY OUT!

Wisdom And Courage

Famous Individuals in Black History past and present (Photo by PR Newswire)

Another brilliant article by Walter E. Williams. In the article, he first shares his wisdom in reciting the facts that blacks of African Ancestry had the biggest hurdles to overcome and yet had the most gains by any standard of measurement. Wisdom, because he lived it. Then, he had the courage to articulate what ails a segment of the black community. Courage, because in today’s mainstream media and “woke” culture, he’s considered a sellout. In the end, he gives his strong opinion on how, we as a nation, can move forward.

If he’s expressive, then he’s soft and weak

He has to be able to fix anything

He’s expected to have wisdom - share it and not falter

Alone in his thoughts...

He’s thankful he was taught well and hopes he does right
He trusts that his son will do right and his daughter will choose well

He understands, that at times he may have been harsh, hurtful and
 callous, but always loved true

And when his ledger is up for judgement...

Covid-19 Death By Age Group

There’s data from the CDC that breaks down the cumulative numbers reported by the media each day. I can say more, but you should look at the numbers yourself and form your opinion.

CDC Data Breakdown

There’s even more to the data. When you filter it further with co-morbidities, the picture gets even clearer. However, that break down is not on this CDC report. But you can look at some of that information when you click on the Just Facts Link on this blog. When you get there, scroll down and you can see the information titled, Crucial Facts About Covid-19.

However you want to live your life with this and other viruses, always seek ALL the information.

Be well.

VDH With Another Gem Of An Article.

You know that feeling, when there’s something off about what you’re seeing, and you wish you can articulate it in a succinct, chronological and logical manner? Well, it’s been done for you.

Informed, Passionate At The Same Time Respectful

BeverlyBeatty’s video has gone viral, as it should! In it, you will hear her recite the history of the Democrat Party. She’s accurate and impassioned. A great combination. You’ll notice something missing in her voice. She’s not angry. At least not at the world.

It is clear she’s black and a woman. Popular opinion is that, she can’t get ahead in life, unless she globs onto the progressive ideology and support the leftist agenda – The Democrats. Clearly, as you can see, she doesn’t agree and she tells you why.

You know what else – she doesn’t consider the country systemically racist.

We need more Beverly Beattys! We need to passionately but respectfully share our views. Like her, we believe that everyone has the potential to be the best that they can be. We need to protect and promote this country. Because this country has afforded the greatest opportunity for the most amount of people who has had the fortune of living in The United States of America.

An Ingrate!

She knew that America was not founded on Socialist Doctrines. On the contrary, America seeks to defeat Socialism because its tenets are antithetical to liberty.

Yet, when given the chance, Kshama Sawant sought to move to the United States for what can only be understood as a better life than the one she left in India.

As a software engineer, she applied for and was granted a working visa. After that, initial research shows that she became a US citizen in 2010.

To become a US citizen, and I will abbreviate the entire process, she would have been given the task of learning about our form of government. Then, she would have gone for her interview where an immigration officer would ask her questions on the things she learned.

How do I know this? This was what I had to do to become a citizen. Now, the next step for her was her oath taking. She would have had to take the oath of pledging her loyalty to the country she voluntarily chose to be a part of.

Sometime from then to when she ran for office, there would have had to have been a change. Either that or she already had the views and feelings she currently espouses and she completely lied to the immigration officer.

To be fair, she did not deceive the citizens of Seattle. She was openly a socialist by then and yet they voted her into office. It’s Seattle after all. Sawant claims that she became “radicalized” when she saw the inequity of the rich and poor in America. BS! She’s telling us she didn’t see that in India? It would have been strikingly visible. Who is she, Helen Keller?

‘Knowing this, I’m more of the belief that she lied her way into becoming a citizen. If her claim that inequity is such a catalyst for her in fighting for change, why didn’t she do that in her native India?Did the United States really need her unique abilities as an agent for change that she showed in India? Wait, she didn’t do that in India!

What bothers this grateful immigrant, is that instead of being thankful for the wonderful opportunity afforded to her by the citizens of this country, (Not necessarily just Seattle) she seeks to fundamentally change it.

One does not love something she seeks to fundamentally change!

Don’t take my word for it, there’s enough about her on the web that you can look for yourself. Being grateful doesn’t mean she couldn’t be critical. Critical is one thing, but doing what she’s done….

I’ll just leave it at this…

She is now with the group in Seattle who has declared themselves an autonomous region within the United States! If that’s not an Ingrate, I don’t know what is? Some would say, a traitor!

Here’s a link to her subversiveness. Judge for yourself.

SCOTUS Weighs In Or Legislates? You Decide.

Today’s SCOTUS opinion on Bostock v. Clayton County will be the most discussed and debated by both political parties. Why? Because we live in the times of –isms. This particular decision was about employment and sexual orientation.

If you read the majority opinion, written by Justice Gorsuch, almost any 21st century citizen will understand his intent. Moreover, I would wager that a super majority would agree with the opinion. The court sided with Bostock and said that his termination, based on his sexual orientation, was unlawful.

The question or the immediate debate will be, did the court, in ruling the way it did, ensure that the Pandora’s Box that was opened as early as the first controversial ruling of the court, remain, at least for now, open!

‘What do I mean?

The Act or Law at issue is Title VII of The Civil Rights Act of 1964. The dissent states that the court is adding to the text of the law, and thereby overstepping it’s role. As a non-legislative body, it has to adhere to the original text and intent of the law at the time the act was passed.

This is where passions get enflamed. Reasonable people will disagree. The disagreement will not hinder on the “unfairness” of employment decisions solely on the basis of “sex” or in this current case, “sexual orientation.” The disagreement will be on whether it was the role of the court to infer a text and therefore an intent that wasn’t there to begin with. Why? Because sexual orientation was not included in Title VII.

Of course there will the usual permutations that would be debated. What if an employer, let’s say the NBA, denies a WNBA player from trying out for a team and therefore the franchise that has been traditionally male – does that violate Title VII? Stuff like that. Oh, don’t think that that’s far fetched. In 1964, there was no debate to using a restroom based on what you thought your gender was.

There were three decisions today. It is for certain, that almost all three will be criticized by members of the citizenry, on merits but ultimately, jurisdiction. As of today June 15, 2020, they are the law of the land. That is until a future SCOTUS opinion reverses them.

This ultimately proves that the check on the three bodies of our governmental structure, Our Constitution, ARE THE PEOPLE.

You Decide…

The video of the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks has been released. My take is that he shouldn’t have died. However, it’s not as cut and dry as the George Floyd video. Other officers could weigh in and tell us how this could have been handled differently, wherein Mr. Brooks would still be alive. Or was this just tragic and the officers followed procedure?

Given what you saw in the entirety of the video, could the officers have exercised discretion specially at the time where he was out of the car and said he’ll walk home? Is that possible and could the Atlanta PD have liability if they let him walk home? Could they have waited for someone to pick him up? Again, liability?

You decide…
