I don’t like Eric Swalwell, and I’m glad he’s out of Congress. I never pretended otherwise. But even when someone’s getting their comeuppance, justice should still be fair. Let the system charge him, try him, and punish him properly — nothing more, nothing less. That’s the consistent standard I’ve always believed in.
