Diversity Is Not Our Strength. It’s Gratitude.

They’ve been feeding us the same line since the sixties: “Diversity is our strength.” Like it’s a recipe—throw in every skin tone, every accent, every prayer, stir, and boom—America 2.0. They say it on TV, in classrooms, on campaign trails. They say it like it’s gospel.

It’s not. It’s a con.

Diversity without gratitude is just a crowd. A loud, fractured crowd that argues over who gets the last seat at the table. Real strength? It came from the people who crossed oceans with nothing but a suitcase and a “thank you.” The ones who didn’t demand—they earned. They practiced the three pillars:

• Accountability—I owe this place everything. No whining, no handouts.

• Assimilation—I add to the house, I don’t burn it down. Learn the language, the laws, the ways.

• Allegiance—This is home. Not a hotel. Not a pit stop.

And they lived it permanently—no going back. Prudently—vet who comes in, cap the flow, don’t let it swamp us. Pragmatically—fix what breaks, don’t pretend it’s perfect.

The founders? They weren’t saints. They wrote “all men are created equal” while owning slaves. They knew the hypocrisy—knew it burned. But they didn’t quit. They made the prudent, pragmatic call: start the nation first, end the evil later. That took guts. That took gratitude—for the miracle of freedom, even if it wasn’t clean. They bet on us to finish the job. We did—through blood, amendments, wars.

Now? We’re throwing it away. Open gates, no questions, no loyalty test—just “diversity” as cover for chaos. Gangs, debt, resentment. And the same voices still chant: “Look how beautiful!”

Beauty doesn’t pay bills. Beauty doesn’t stop riots. Beauty doesn’t keep the house from collapsing.

Gratitude does. The quiet, daily “thank you” that says: I won’t let this fail.

We don’t need more colors. We need more spine. Practice the pillars—permanently, prudently, pragmatically. Or we lose everything we built.
